Fast Car 2006 Aston Martin DB9

Aston Martin's fast cars reflect the power of idea combined with the aesthetics of the technology. This popular sports car maker at Warwickshire, England, now keeps itself ahead of its competitors with its modern DB9 sports GT car. The name 'DB' is derived from David Brown, the owner of Aston Martin. The DB9 model was designed by Ian Callum, elder of the famous car-designer brothers of England.

The craftsmanship of Aston Martin has been the key identifying factor of their cars. DB9 is no exception to it. Aston's fast and sports car concept is all about character and involvement of the driver. Identifying the needs on the roads had been a great challenge to these carmakers and that is the reason why they developed the perfect sports car with an aerodynamic efficiency.

The body panels of DB9 are made of aluminum and its lightweight composites. The lightweight material, combined with its aerodynamic body, removes all the doubts about its performance. The extremely lightweight body that weighs 1710kg had been an impossibility for a fully equipped V12 powered sports car till the advent of 2006 Aston Martin DB9. And the speed? An awesome 186mph!

Ascari 10 Super Exotic Sports CArs

The Ascari A10 super exotic sports car, developed by British manufacturers and similar to the Spanish GT version, is rated in the top ten supercars for 2006. Its lightweight carbon fiber body of less than 3,000 pounds is designed more for the racetrack than the road. There were only a few models of this fast car built, somewhere between 10 and 50, and although expensive, it promises incredible speed and power.

The power of the Ascari A10 super exotic sports cars comes from the modified sports cars BMW 5.0 liter V-8 engine, with the standard six-speed sequential transaxle, where the gearshifts operate as paddles, similar to other race cars. Additions and modifications to the engine, however, include cams with advanced timing, new rods, and pistons, as well as a dry sump lubrication system. It has the same steel sub-frame for the power train and rear suspension as the KZ1 sports car, but the height of the coil spring units can be adjusted hydraulically on front and rear. This is a unique feature, not found on most other supercars, where adjustments can only be made manually.

The new Ferrari 430 Scuderia will join the road-going V8 line-up alongside the F430 coupe and the F430 Spider. The 430 Scuderia is a truly high-performance 2-seater berlinetta which demonstrates how Ferrari's Formula 1 know-how is carried across to its production cars.

The new model is a special series based on the F430 and is aimed specifically at Ferrari's most passionate and sports-driving oriented clients. Development focused on light weight, minimum trimmings and innovative technology. All this to exalt the car's extremely high-performance and ability to thrill the driver.

The new car can count on an extremely low weight-to-power ratio of just 2.45 kg per bhp thanks to a low dry weight of just 2755 lb - 220 lb less than the F430 - and to the naturally-aspirated 4308cc V8's 510 bhp at 8500 rpm.

Superb performance both on and off the track is assured by a series of cutting-edge solutions. There is the latest software - F1 Superfast - which reduces gearchange times to just 60 milliseconds, and new traction control which, for the first time, combines the E-Diff electronic differential and the F1-Trac traction and stability control in a single integrated system.

Vehicle dynamics, control and performance thus represent the zenith of Ferrari's achievements in terms of developing road-certified sports cars.

The 430 Scuderia will be officially unveiled by Michael Schumacher at the IAA Motor Show in Frankfurt in September 2007.

Super Sports Cars : Chevrolet Camaro

Today General Motors unveiled the final production version of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, a true American sports car that has been anticipated by Chevrolet fans now for years, since the last generation Chevrolet Camaro was killed in 2000.

The production 2010 Camaro differs little from the preproduction versions that have been shown for several months now, but small details on the Camaro such as a new retro interior decked out in brushed metal (plastic brushed metal?) trim complete the package. Whetting appetites since 2006 with the Chevrolet Camaro concept, GM has remained remarkably faithful to the original concept car. The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS tops the model range, and will be a true muscle car with the LS3 V8 motor and 6 speed manual transmission.

Ailing US-based GM is in need of a true sports car hit that is affordable to the masses, just as Chevrolet pulled off with the original Camaro pony car in 1967. Does the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro have the potential to turn around a Chevy brand that, save for the Corvette, has been mostly in the dumps for several years now? As the once-untouchable Chevrolet mark continues to bleed sales to Japanese, European and Korean automakers, the Camaro has the potential to bring excitement back into Chevrolet showrooms.
